IMG_1262 The idea hit me while I was preparing for a bikepacking trip from Seattle to Ellensburg and back. I sketched it out quick in Procreate Pocket. Finally got around to purchasing Affinity Designer after the trial expired. I like it quite a bit, and it works fabulously with the Apple Pencil, iPad Pro and Astropad. Translating the bike lane symbol into a covered wagon symbol was way more difficult than I thought it would be, but I think it turned out pretty well in the final version. I love the icon aesthetic of creating images that quickly convey ideas using simple lines or pixels.
